Tanarra Capital invests to accelerate Landchecker's growth and market leadership in property data and AI.
Landchecker Acquisition Announcement
Tanarra Capital and a syndicate of its investors announce the acquisition of a controlling interest in leading Australian property data and technology business Landchecker.
Landchecker is a fast-growing, AI-enabled one-stop platform for critical data for the property industry.
It is used across by developers, town planners, builders, agents, architects, valuers, financiers and major companies to underpin commercial and investment decisions.
The company’s suite of proprietary data sets and AI capabilities underpin a very strong growth outlook. Revenue grew 70% in the last financial year.
The transaction sees PEXA Group exit its stake. Long-standing shareholder the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) will remain a minority investor in the revised structure.
Landchecker CEO Adam Gandolfo said: "We are thrilled with Tanarra's investment. This will enable us to continue to grow, innovate and enhance our position as the emerging market leader in this highly attractive space.
“We will accelerate our investment in technology and grow our team with strategic hires across sales and customer success nationally, helping us win new business and engage with our existing customers more regularly something we are incredibly passionate about."
Tanarra CEO John Wylie said: "We and our investors are very impressed with the Landchecker business and management team led by Adam Gandolfo. We see a clear opportunity to help drive the business in its next phase of growth. Landchecker is uniquely positioned as a market leader at the intersection of property, data and AI, and we are enthusiastic to partner with Adam and the team to realise that potential.”
He added: “This investment continues Tanarra’s track record in investing in growing technology businesses in attractive sectors of the Australian economy. The firm has recently successfully exited two such businesses, resources-tech business INX and health care-tech business Health Metrics.”
