Sec 105 Land Tax Certificate

Do you have a commercial, vacant or investment property and want to know the amount of land tax due and unpaid?

You can order a property clearance certificate (previously known as a land tax clearance certificate) under section 95AA of the Taxation Administration Act 1997 and pay an application fee specifying the land for which the Certificate is requested.

Who Needs This Certificate?

A mortgagee, an owner or a purchaser needs to acquire this certificate to know if there is an outstanding land tax liability that needs to be paid before a change of ownership.

What Information Will The Section 105 Land Tax Provide?

The information on this certificate may show the following details at the time of issue:

    A land tax that has been assessed but has not yet been paid,

    Unassessed land tax for the current tax year;

    Other information that the Commissioner sees fit to include, such as land tax assessed on a single holding basis and debts due to the Commissioner.
