How to purchase a Building Approval 51 Certificate in Victoria

1. Click on Document Searches in the navigation bar

2. Click on Certificates

3. Select State - VIC. Then select Next

4. Select the property identifier you wish to Search By, then select Search. Property Identifiers include;

Address

Council Number

Crown Description

Lot/Plan

SPI

Volume/Folio

5. Enter the job reference if applicable

6. Scroll down to the Certificates (New) section

7. Select the tickbox next to Building Approval 51

8. Additional Information Required will appear

Select Vendor type: Individual or Company

Enter Individual or Company Name as required

9. Note: It may be a requirement for a Copy of Plan to be purchased with a Buidling Approval 51. This document will automatically be added to your cart if required.

10. Click Add selected items to shopping cart

11. Select your shopping cart icon in the navigation bar

12. Click Go To Checkout

13. Once you are happy with your selection for Delivery Method and Payment Method, click Buy Now

14. The est. delivery time for these certificates varies depending on the authority delivering the document. For example, City of Maribyrnong has an est. delivery time of 15 days and City of Stonnington has an est. delivery time of 7 days.
