How to order an NSW Water Access Licence (WAL)

What is an NSW Water Access Licence (WAL)?

An NSW Water Access Licence (WAL) is a title search document that covers both properties and water access licences in New South Wales. You can order it through Document Searches on Landchecker.

Where do I find my WAL number?

Your WAL number is issued by the NSW Natural Resources Access Regulator (NRAR) and is recorded on your water access licence. You can find it in one of the following places:

    Your original water access licence document

    The NSW Water Register, available at the NSW NRAR website

    Previous title search documents or conveyancing records related to the property

The WAL number follows the format WAL followed by a numeric identifier, for example WAL33765.

How do I order an NSW Water Access Licence?

1. Click on Document Searches in the navigation bar.

2. Click on the Standard Searches tab.

3. Select State - NSW, then select Next.

4. Enter a Job Reference (you can use any reference you prefer).

5. Select Title Search from the list of search types.

6. Enter the WAL number in the required field (for example, WAL33765).

7. Click Add to Cart.

8. Click the shopping cart icon in the top right corner.Select View Cart to review your order, or select Purchase to proceed to checkout.
