How to purchase a Water Information Statement in Victoria

Water information statement includes the rates and charges on the property that a council may have. It also details the water and sewer lines, tariff, and any relevant orders, notices and encumbrances affecting the property.

This certificate can be ordered through the Landchecker app under the Document Searches tab.

1. Click on Document Searches in the navigation bar

2. Click on Certificate Searches

3. Select State - VIC. Then select Next

4. Select the property identifier you wish to Search By, then select Search. Property Identifiers include;

Address

Council Number

Crown Description

Lot/Plan

SPI

Volume/Folio

5. Enter the job reference if applicable

6. Scroll down to the Certificates section

7. Select the tickbox next to Water Information Statement

8. Additional Information Required will appear

Select Vendor type: Individual or Company

Enter Individual or Company Name as required

Note: It may be a requirement for a copy of the Register Search Statement (Title) and Copy of Plan to be purchased with a Water Information Statement. These documents will automatically be added to your cart if required.

9. Click Add selected items to shopping cart

10. Select your shopping cart icon in the navigation bar

11. Select View Cart to review your order or select Purchase to proceed to checkout

12. If you chose the View Cart option, double-check your order and click Go To Checkout

13. Once you are happy with your selection for Delivery method and Payment method, click Buy

14. The est. delivery time for these certificates varies depending on the authority delivering the document. For example, City West Water has an est. delivery time of 10 days and Barwon Water has an est. delivery time of 5 days.
