How to complete a Title Search in WA

Follow this simple guide to order a Title Search for properties in Western Australia through Landchecker. You can order a copy of the Title directly on the Map or through the Document Searches page under Standard Searches.

WA Titles contain ownership details of the land and the lodged or registered interests or claims (encumbrances) against that ownership.

NOTE: Titles do not include a land’s survey dimensions, such as angles, boundaries and area. You can order a copy of plan to get these details.

Purchasing a Title on the Map

WA Title Searches can be conducted directly from the map by clicking on the Documents tab on the right-hand side panel.

1. Search for a property on the address search bar located at the top left corner of the Map.

2. Go to the Documents tab on the right-hand side panel. Then add a Job Reference, tick the checkbox next to WA Title Search, and click “Add selected items to shopping cart”.

3. Click the shopping cart icon in the navigation bar. You can choose View Cart to review your order or Purchase to quickly buy the document. If you chose View Cart, double-check your order and click Go To Checkout.

4. Once you are happy with your selection for Delivery Method and Payment Method, click Buy.

Delivery Methods:

Send a separate email for each order item - best for orders with documents that have varying estimated delivery times.

Send one email including all order items - get one email with all documents attached once they’ve all been fulfilled.

Send no email and notify me for each order item with an in-app notification - you won’t receive an email and can download your fulfilled documents from your Order Manager.

Purchasing a Title on the Document Searches page, under Standard Searches

If you have the Lot/Plan details of the property, you can conduct a WA Title Search directly from the Standard Searches page. This will save you time, as you will not need to look up the property address or parcel details on the map.

1. Click on Document Searches in the navigation bar and select the Standard Searches tab. Select State - WA and click Next.

2. Enter a Job Reference. Then under the list of Products, click on WA Title Search and add the Lot/Plan number. Then click Add to Cart and select the shopping cart icon in the navigation bar to checkout and purchase the Title.
