Permit/DA alerts are now available on Landchecker

Landchecker has released an additional function within the application that enables members to receive regular permit alerts. Customers can now be kept up-to-date with local planning developments that affect their property, simply by selecting filters using the on-map functionality.

“We’ve built this alert tool into the planning permit section of the app,” explained Landchecker’s Head of Product and UX, Nicolette Provis. “It takes about a minute to set up: you just type in your property or suburb, adjust the distance buffer, enter a keyword for the type of permits you’re concerned with, and opt for daily or weekly alerts using the frequency setting.”

Landchecker’s Co-Founder and Director, Will Leaf, highlighted its usefulness: “This alert function is really handy for any property professional or savvy homeowner who wants to be kept in the know.”

With a background in multi-residential and commercial projects across Melbourne, Leaf appreciates that “developments are happening all the time, and it’s hard to keep track of which permits have been lodged, approved or rejected.”

“We take out that layer of worry for our customers, by emailing them when there is planning activity in their locality that they should be aware of,” Leaf explained.

That’s not to say that the alert function is just for the cautious. “The best property decisions rely on timing - access to the right information is therefore critical”, said Leaf. “For example, a savvy real estate agent wouldn’t want to miss out on alerts for permit activity in a residential hot-spot.”
