How to purchase a Land Tax Certificate in Victoria

A land tax certificate shows the amount of land tax due and unpaid on the described parcel if land tax is payable.

You can buy this document through the Landchecker app by going to Documents Searches, under Certificate Searches.

1. Click on Document Searches in the navigation bar

2. Click on Certificate Searches

3. Select State - VIC. Then select Next

4. Select the property identifier you wish to Search By, then select Search. Property Identifiers include;

Address

Council Number

Crown Description

Lot/Plan

SPI

Volume/Folio

5. Enter the job reference if applicable

6. Scroll down to the Certificates section

7. Select the tickbox next to Sec 105 Land Tax

8. Additional Information Required will appear

Select Vendor type: Individual or Company

Enter Individual or Company Name as required

Select Purchaser type: Individual or Company

Enter Individual or Company Name as required

Enter settlement date

Enter land tax use code

9. Click Add selected items to shopping cart

10. Select your shopping cart icon in the navigation bar

11. Select View Cart to review your order or select Purchase to proceed to checkout

12. If you chose the View Cart option, double-check your order. Then, click Go To checkout

13. Once you are happy with your selection for Delivery method and Payment method, click Buy

13. This certificate has an est. delivery time of 10 days from purchase
