How to use the action bar to edit shapes and property boundaries

The action bar gives you quick access to editing tools for customising shapes, markups, annotations and property boundaries on your map.

Use it to adjust colours, line weights and boundary settings to match your needs.

Using the action bar with drawing tools

When you create or select shapes, markups or annotations on the map, the action bar appears at the bottom centre of your screen with editing options.

Available editing options

Basic controls:

    Rename – Give your elements clear, descriptive names for easy identification

    Fill colour – Change the interior colour of shapes

    Stroke colour – Update the outline colour

    Stroke weight – Adjust the thickness of the outline

Additional options (click the three dots for more):

    Hide – Temporarily remove from view without deleting

    Delete – Permanently remove from the map

    Duplicate – Create a copy of the element

    Save to project – Store in a specific project for future reference

    Display area – Show the calculated area measurement for shapes

    Display line length – Show length measurements for lines and shape perimeters

How to edit shapes, markups and annotations

    Click on any shape, markup or annotation on your map

    The action bar appears at the bottom centre of your screen

    Select the editing option you need

    Make your changes

    Click elsewhere on the map to save

Using the action bar with property boundaries

When you search for or select a property on the map, the action bar lets you control how property boundaries appear and display measurement information.

Show or hide property boundaries

Property boundaries help identify where a property begins and ends. You can quickly toggle them on or off. To show or hide property boundaries:

1. Search for a property in the address search box

2. Click the property boundary option button on the right-hand side toolbar

3. The action bar will appear at the bottom centre of the map

4. Click the More button (three dots)

5. Toggle the dimension on or off

Property dimensions - Toggle on to display boundary measurements directly on the map.

Dimension unit - Switch between metres and feet for measurement display.

Bearings - Toggle on to show bearing information on property boundaries.

Note: Your customised property boundary settings are automatically saved and will persist when you switch between map views.

Customise property boundary settings

You can adjust the appearance of property boundaries on your map to suit your visual preferences or match your branding.

To access property boundary settings:

1. Click on a property boundary on the map

2. Click the property boundary option button on the right-hand side toolbar

3. The action bar appears at the bottom centre of your map

4. Click the fill and stroke buttons to customise your property boundaries

There are three ways to customise the boundary colour:

    Select a custom shade using the gradient tool

    Enter your brand's hex code for precise colour matching

    Choose from 10 standard colours
