How to convert property boundaries to shapes

The convert property boundary to shape feature makes it faster and easier to create accurate property outlines on your map. Instead of manually tracing complex property boundaries, you can instantly convert them into editable shape.

This feature is particularly useful for builders, developers, architects, and planners who need precise property outlines.

Follow the steps below to generate a shape from any property.

1. Use the address search bar to locate the property you want to work with.

2. On the right-hand side toolbar, click the Convert Boundary to Shape icon.

3. Adjust the fill colour and stroke colour to suit your project’s needs.

4. Click CONVERT TO SHAPE. The outline will instantly become an editable shape.

5. The shape will appear in your Tools Library on the left-hand side panel. It will be automatically named after the property address.

In the tools library, you can further customise the shape by toggling on the area or line length.

You can also resize the shape by dragging any point (vertex) along the shape to adjust its position.

6. Add the shapes to a project to organise, compare, and manage your property data. Read this article for more details.
